Terms Of Service

By using Scanlyo, you agree to the following terms. They're designed to keep our platform safe, fair, and accessible for all users.

Last Updated: July, 2026

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Scanlyo ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time, and continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Platform. Additional terms may apply to specific features or services, and those terms will be presented at the time of use.

Service Description

Scanlyo provides browser-based anonymous viewer tools that allow users to view publicly available social media content — including profiles, stories, posts, reels, and highlights — without logging into or interacting with the source platform. Our tools operate by routing requests through encrypted proxy servers to preserve user anonymity.

Scanlyo does not host, store, or distribute social media content. We provide technical tools that fetch and display publicly available content in real-time. The Platform is offered "as is" and we make no guarantees regarding continuous availability, accuracy, or completeness of content displayed.

Important: Scanlyo only accesses publicly available content. We do not bypass private account settings, authentication systems, or platform security controls. Our tools are designed for ethical, privacy-respecting use only.

Eligibility

By using Scanlyo, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are at least 13 years of age (or 16 in jurisdictions where 16 is the minimum age for digital consent).
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
  • You are not located in a country subject to applicable trade sanctions or embargoes.
  • You are not a competitor of Scanlyo using the Platform for competitive intelligence purposes.

If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

User Obligations

As a user of Scanlyo, you agree to:

  • Use the Platform in compliance with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations.
  • Use viewer tools only to access publicly available content that you have a legitimate interest in viewing.
  • Respect the privacy and rights of others when using our tools.
  • Provide accurate information if you choose to contact us or submit feedback.
  • Not attempt to circumvent any security measures, rate limits, or access controls on the Platform.

Prohibited Uses

The following uses of Scanlyo are strictly prohibited:

  • Harassment or stalking: Using our tools to harass, intimidate, or stalk individuals on social media platforms.
  • Unauthorized data scraping: Using automated tools, bots, or scripts to systematically extract content through our platform.
  • Circumventing privacy controls: Attempting to access private accounts, locked profiles, or content that is not publicly available.
  • Illegal activities: Using Scanlyo for any purpose that violates applicable law.
  • Abuse of platform resources: Engaging in activity that imposes an unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
  • Misrepresentation: Impersonating Scanlyo, its employees, or misrepresenting your relationship with the Platform.
  • Resale of services: Selling, licensing, or reselling access to the Platform without explicit written permission.

Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate termination of access and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.

Intellectual Property

The Scanlyo name, logo, design, code, and platform architecture — including all viewer tool interfaces, graphics, and underlying software — are the exclusive property of Scanlyo and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Content displayed through our viewer tools is the property of the respective content creators and social media platforms. Scanlyo does not claim ownership of any third-party content accessed through our tools.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, or publicly display any portion of the Scanlyo platform without our prior written consent, except as expressly permitted by these Terms.

Disclaimers

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Scanlyo expressly disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to:

  • Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
  • Warranties that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from viruses or other harmful components.
  • Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of content displayed through viewer tools.

Scanlyo does not guarantee that our tools will be compatible with all social media platform updates or changes. Service availability may be affected by third-party platform modifications, technical maintenance, or circumstances beyond our control.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Scanlyo and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill — arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform.

Our total liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount paid by you to use the Platform (if any) during the twelve months preceding the claim. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which the claim is brought.

Note: Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Scanlyo, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your use of the Platform in violation of these Terms.
  • Your violation of any rights of a third party, including intellectual property or privacy rights.
  • Your violation of any applicable law or regulation.
  • Any content you submit or transmit through the Platform.

Scanlyo reserves the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification. You agree to cooperate with our defense of such claims.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Scanlyo at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Grounds for termination include, but are not limited to:

  • Violation of these Terms or any applicable policy.
  • Engaging in prohibited or abusive uses of the Platform.
  • Request by law enforcement or government agency.
  • Technical or security issues.
  • Extended periods of inactivity.

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform immediately ceases. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification — shall remain in effect.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in the United States.

You agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us. If a dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, it shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
